New Business Owners

Texas requires no general business license and has no state income tax, making it one of the simplest states to start a business.

Tyler County gives small business owners big-state advantage with small town costs.

Before you file anything, decide how your business will be organized. The Texas Secretary of State explains the differences between sole proprietorships, LLCs, corporations, and partnerships.

Selecting a Business Structure

Most businesses in Tyler County operate as LLCs. Filing a Certificate of Formation with the Secretary of State costs $300 and can be done online through SOSDirect.
